In this course, participants will learn about current concepts in pediatric fracture and will gain valuable knowledge through a combination of lectures from experts, didactic case-based presentations and small group discussions, where they are encouraged to discuss the cases and
content in an open manner and to share their own experiences.
During the practical exercises, participants gain insight by implementing the newly learned tips and tricks in surgical techniques on artificial bones as well as on artificial 3-D bone deformities.
Other elements of this highly interactive learning environment will be the use of pre-operative planning as well as the latest fixation techniques to address the treatment of malunions and nonunions.
Basic skills in instrumentation as well as the knowledge of techniques are required to benefit from this AOTrauma Master Course, therefore the AO Basic Principles Course of Fracture Management is a prerequisite to participate in this educational event.
